Indian Mound Park usually has calmer waters as it is located on the coast of Lemon Bay, There are many other parks that offer kayaking and paddling throughout Charlotte & Sarasota County.
Englewood Beach
Englewood Beach at Chadwick Park was built in 2001. This pristine beach offers white sand, sparkling blue waters, and spectacular sunset views year round. Destination is approx – 40 miles South of Sarasota Airport – 30 miles East of Punta Gorda Airport




Indian Mound Park
Indian Mound provides a rare opportunity to visit a significant Indian Mound site. The contoured landscape is a direct result of Indian habitation. The Indians were attracted to this spot for the availability of resources on land and in the bay. The suitability of this spot for early inhabitation is still evident to park visitors today. Venice Beach
Venice Beach provides a scenic view of the Venice Public Fishing Pier and many opportunities to see dolphins and shorebirds. The beaches along Venice are home to a large number of marine turtle nests between the months of May and October. Blind Pass aka Middle Beach
Blind Pass sits on Beach Road between Englewood Beach and Manasota Beach. It offers a similar landscape and experience as its neighboring beaches as well as restrooms and a modest parking lot.
Stump Pass
Stump Pass sits at the end of Beach Road and offers a small parking lot with a fee to park.
